Update 20 July: The Theoretical Computer Science group at IMSc invites applications for a direct interview call to the PhD and Integrated PhD program starting in August 2026.
Phase 2 for direct interview call is now open. A candidate is eligible for a direct interview call if they satisfy the following criterion:
- They have been called for interview by any of the IITs or IISc or TIFR or NISER or CMI or ISI in 2026 based on a national level exam (including GATE, NET or TIFR entrance exam) in a subject related to theoretical computer science (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics, information technology,…).
- Candidates who were shortlisted for interviews at IMSc in JEST 2025 can also apply.
Disclaimer: The final decision for shortlisting for the interviews and selection for admission to the graduate programme is at the sole discretion of IMSc.
