Saket Saurabh - Recipient of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for 2021

Congratulations to Saket Saurabh on winning the Bhatnagar award in mathematical sciences, 2021.
Saket did his PhD in theoretical computer science at IMSc and has been an IMSc faculty member since 2009. He has done pioneering work on parametrized complexity (a recent approach to deal with computationally hard problems), graph algorithms, satisfiability problems, and more, and has co-authored two books and several popular surveys on paramterized complexity. He has mentored 14 PhD students, including 13 at IMSc, He has twice received an European Research Council (ERC) grant, is a recipient of the 2020 ACM India Early Career Researcher award and was elected Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences in 2020.
