The broad goal of IMSc's Enriching Collegiate Education series of workshops is to bring research mathematicians and college teachers together in an effort to enrich mathematics education in colleges. It is noteworthy in this context that IMSc is primarily a research institute. This workshop is part of a Teacher's Enrichment Workshop, a series sponsored by the NCM
This week-long workshop is aimed at mathematics teachers in Arts & Science colleges, to enable them to revisit and update content and/or knowledge. The lectures will cover a few specific topics (see below). The workshop also includes discussion sessions where teachers can get doubts cleared and work out exercises (both routine and advanced).
Topic:
Algebra, Analysis and Topology of p-adic numbers
Reference book: p-adic analysis compared with real by S. Katok.

How to apply?
Selected candidates
The first list of selected candidates is available here.
If you have been selected, please confirm your participation by emailing outreach@imsc.res.in with your SID and name.
If we do not hear from you, we will provide your seat to applicants on our waiting list.
