Hardy to Ramanujan
Dated
26-3-1913

|
In
quick succession, Ramanujan received in the next three months,
four long letters from Hardy, in which Hardy wrote plainly about
what had been proved or claimed to have been prove by Ramanujan.
He clearly communicated his genuine anxiety to “see what
can be done to give you [Ramanujan] a better chance of making
use of your obvious mathematical gifts”. And Ramanujan in
return was willing to place unreservedly in "Hardy’s
hands" all that he had.
