Ramaswamy Iyer (1871 - 1936) was an M.A. from the University
of Madras. He joined the Civil Services in 1989. He became a
Deputy Collector in 1901. He was the President of the Indian
Mathematical Society from 1926 - 1930. He founded the Journal
of this Society in 1909. He was instrumental in Ramanujan publishing
his Questions and Answers to Questions, as well as his research
articles in the Journal of the Indian Mathematical Society.
