In August 1889, Komalathammal's second son was born and he died within two weeks. In November 1891, a daughter was born but she too died within 3 months. The two sons born later in 1888 and 1905, named Lakshmi Narasimhan and Thirunarayanan, were the two younger brothers Ramanujan had all through his life.
