The
first full length (15 page) research paper of Ramanujan, entitled:
“Some properties of Bernoulli Numbers”, appeared in
the Journal of the Indian Mathematical Society, in 1911. In it,
Ramanujan stated eight theorems embodying arithmetical properties
of Bernoulli numbers, indicating proofs for three theorems; two
theorems are stated as Corollaries of two others, while three
theorems are stated as conjectures.
