Quantum Information Processing: From Basics to Applications
About the Workshop
#The proposed workshop aims to cultivate a scientifically skilled and future-ready student community, with particular emphasis on enhancing the knowledge and research exposure of students from rural regions. Through expert lectures, interactive discussions and hands-on sessions participants will gain comprehensive insights of the fundamental principles of quantum information processing, including quantum bits (qubits), quantum gates, quantum algorithms, quantum communication, and quantum computing architectures. In addition to this, workshop will further highlight the transformative applications of quantum information processing across diverse domains such as cryptography, optimization, artificial intelligence, advanced materials, and quantum-enabled technologies. Serving as a capacity-building platform for UG, PG, and PhD aspirants, the programme will expose participants to emerging research opportunities in quantum science and technology, higher education, national research laboratories, and quantum-driven industries. By promoting interdisciplinary learning and fostering awareness of next-generation quantum technologies, the workshop aims to prepare participants for academic and professional careers in the rapidly advancing quantum era.
