Science Communication in Tamil: Achievements and Challenges

Organised by IMSc, Ariviyal Palagai (அறிவியல் பலகை) and the Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre.
Science communication is more urgent than ever. The Fourth Industrial Revolution, climate change, infectious diseases and poverty all demand an informed public. At the same time, scientific knowledge is incomplete and tentative, science is shaped by social factors, and social media spreads fake news and pseudoscience. This two-day workshop, Science communication in Tamil: contemporary challenges and opportunities, discusses these issues and good practices, especially in the Tamil context.
