This is the earliest photo of the house where Ramanujan lived in Kumbakonam, from his birth (22.12.1887) till he left for Madras City (Chennai), in 1905.

This house has been acquired recently (March 2002) by the Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy (SASTRA), a Deemed University in Thanjavur.
