Tutorial Sessions

The tutorial sessions are to be conducted in the lounge area in the Ist floor and the IIIrd floor of the Institute new building.Generaly these lounges will be locked in the night hours for safety but if any of the participants would like to work in the night, can contact Bijilash B.S. 94442 67955 or any of the volunteers

Participants will be assigned specific nodes for tutorial sessions. Each node has to be shared by two participants. A list of allocation of nodes to participants outside IMSc is here

Participants are requested to change the passwords of their user accounts within 24 hours of first login failing which the account will be disabled automatically.

Generating SSH keys

Generate your sshkey on your machine using "ssh-keygen -t rsa" command. This will ask you for a passphrase and so on and generate your public and private key.

Accessing the Internet

Access to the Internet for participants is provided in the terminals at Ground and second floor Lounge. The user accounts are parapp1 thru parapp10 (Ground Floor) and parapp11 thru parapp20 (Second Floor). Please contact any of the volunteers for assistance if needed.

Printing

Printing facilities for the participants are disabled by default.Please contact Vinu Lukose (Extn:259) or volunteers if there is a need.

In case of Illness...

In case of illness of any participants, please contact Chittaranjan Das (Extn:226 / 351) or any of the volunteers

Departure

Departure details of out-station participants should be given as early as possible preferably on 7th itself by filling the vehicle request form in the registration package.Those for whom arrangements can be made will be informed.
