How is the national union budget balanced? As in any household, by balancing the expenditure against the income. For instance, the pie-chart shows the budgetary allocation for the year 2009-10.  Expenditure includes areas such as agriculture, social and infrastructure expenditure, etc. 

The Wholesale Price Index (WPI) measures and tracks the changes in price of goods in the stages before the retail level. WPI is a group of the indicators that follow growth in the economy. Some of the goods that decide the WPI are shown on the front cover. Interesting mixture, isn't it?!
