dc.description.abstract In this thesis, we focused on studying how the background structure of spacetime a↵ects quantum phenomena at micro and macroscopic levels [2, 11]. We also studied the possi- bility that spacetime might be Euclidean at small scales and analyzed the action for these Euclidean geometries defined in a covariant, observer-dependent manner [10]. en_US
