dc.description.abstract We consider the commutation relations of the vector and axial-vector current densities. Assuming that the commutators of the time components are given (with no Schwinger terms) we derive conditions imposed by covariance on the Schwinger terms in the commutators of the space-time and space-space components of the currents. © 1969.
