Abstract

This thesis is based on the work done in the field of elementary particle interactions in the frame work of impulse or single particle exchange approximation. The thesis consists of 3 parts; Part 1 dealing with the study of Deuteron polarizations in certain reactions; Part 2 dealing with the scattering of pions from nuclei in the frame work of shell model; And Part 3 dealing with strong interactions, with a detailed study of isobar production in nucleon-nucleon collisions, where a generalization of the one pion exchange model.
