dc.description.abstract This particular conference was devoted to the field of High Energy Physics and Nuclear and Astrophysics. Matscience has contributed to the generalization of the well-known Gell-Mann-Nishijima relation. The new quantum number 'Charm' was introduced by Professor Glashow at the 1964 International High Energy Physics Conference in Dubna, Russia. Since then many new quantum numbers have been introduced and there has been an active discussion about these among the leading physicists. This Matscience Conference focussed the attention on these and other new developments in High Energy Physics. About 38 delegates from all over India participated in the deliberations of the conference. In particular, Professor K.Dietz from the University of Bonn, West Germany and Professor C.J. Eliezer from La Trobe University, Australia, have participated and delivered lectures in this conference. en_US
