Abstract

The thirty fifth Matscience conference entitled " Charmed Physics of the seventies", aimed to discuss the important developments in the area of Elementary Particle Physics, during the last decade. Theoretical Physicists belonging to Matscience, University of Madras, University of Gauhatti, S.N. Bose Institute of Physical Sciences, Calcutta, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, and Islamiah College, Vaniyambadi, presented their research work. Of the 25 lectures, 17 were on the aspects of Gauge theories of Elementary Particle Interactions and the remaining were on the use of Gauge ideas to other branches of Physics of fundamental importance.
