dc.description.abstract	This volume represents the proceedings of the Sixteenth Anniversary Symposium of MATSCIENCE on "Theoretical Physics" held during 9th to 12th January 1978 at our Institute. The new features of this volume are two fold. The lectures relating to the title, "NewParticles - Do they imply NewPhysics?", which covered many recent developments in the field of Elementary particle Physics, have revoked great interest in this subject.
