dc.description.abstract This is the second in the series 'Concepts in Modern Mathematics'. This volume deals with some fundamental concepts in Topology. The first part deals with point set Topology and introduces the notions of compactness, connectedness, product and Quotient Topologies, and para-compact spaces. The second part deals with algebraic Topology. Basically it is Topology of Polyhedra, and the materials are freely drawn from the lectures given to the author at North Western University by Professor A.I. Weinzweig to whom the author is indebted. en_US
