dc.description.abstract Parastatistics in Field Theory has got two distinguished classifications, viz., Para-Fermi Statistics, and Para-Bose Statistics. These series of lectures intends to develop a general formalism for parastatistics. The method of generalizations of quantization procedures, are considered, in order to lead to para statistics. Explicit derivations of commutation relations are illustrated, for para statistics of a given order. The symmetry properties for state vectors for fields obeying para statistics are discussed. The importance of generalization of the fundamental concepts of quantum theory in order to accommodate para statistics are indicated. It is shown that the usual spin-statistics connection has a general analogue; Tensor fields must be quantized according to Para Bose statistics and spinor fields according to Para Fermi statistics. en_US
