dc.description.abstract The purpose of this report is to brief survey the various electron transfer systems in the periodic table and to comment on the current status of the theoretical development of the subject. The two fundamental transfer processes utilizing the elementary particles, namely electrons and protons that are of importance in the chemical and biological world are the electron transfer process that includes oxidation-reduction, and the proton transfer process. en_US
