Workshop for maths and science teachers of classes VIII - X

The Institute of Mathematical Sciences

Venue: Online
Date: 23 & 24 December 2020
Time: 10:00-13:00

Vigyan Pratibha is a Government of India for extended nurture of talent in Science and Mathematics among schools students of Class VIII to X in the country. The core of the project would be in the form of Learning Units that can be part of science circles for interested students. These units will be closely related to the school curricula, but would expose students to dimensions of science and mathematics beyond the textbooks.

Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBCSE) has been assigned the academic leadership of the program. The Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc) will serve as a regional center for the program.

IMSc, as a regional partner, has been hosting the Chennai region workshop for Vigyan Pratibha for the past 2 years. Since February, we have been involved in organizing weekly teachers session along with HBCSE.

This is the 3rd edition of IMSc's Vigyan Pratibha regional teachers workshop and the 1st workshop in Tamil.

The workshop is aimed at mathematics and science teachers of classes VIII - X.

The workshop is free and will be conducted on an online platform.
