Open Day

'Open Day' is an event with the aim of creating curiosity and interest about science among school students. Apart from experiments and demonstrations in the fields of Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Computational Biology, the event will have interactive simulations. The highlight of the open day is 'the explanations about everyday phenomena'.

Schedule

The Open Day will happen in two sessions: Morning (9:30--13:30) and Afternoon (13:30--16:30). You may visit either of the session but not both.

There will be demonstrations/experiments, interactive lectures and a library tour.

Experiments/Demonstrations:
We will have hands-on experiments on various concepts in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Computer Science with an emphasis on the science we encounter often in our lives.

Interactive lectures:
We have two interative lectures, one on quantum mechanics and one on complex systems. They will be interactive sessions with researchers who are working on these fields. These sessions will introduce you to the basics of these research going on these fields. There will be four talks in each room. (Refer to the schedule below for details)
