Row-Column operations in (finite) classical groups

The usual row-column operations for matrices gives an algorithm how to write an element of SL(n,k) as a product of elementary matrices. We present a similar algorithm for Orthogonal, Symplectic and Unitary groups. This talk is technical version of the colloquium talk where more proofs will be given. This is joint work with Ayan Mahalanobis.
