"Odd"-response in active systems

In this talk, I will motivate how odd viscosity develops in active chiral systems. This odd viscosity is analogous to Hall viscosity measured in two-dimensional electrons in quantum Hall samples. I will then talk about signatures of physical responses due to such an odd viscosity. Next, I will show that just like viscous stress tensor the elastic stress tensor can also be generalised to have odd responses. Finally, I will show the phenomenological effects of the presence of odd terms in viscoelastic models.
