Correlation inequalities beyond Rayleigh's theorem
Mohan Ravichandran

Rayleigh's well known theorem says that edges in the uniformly random
spanning tree are negatively correlated. There are a number of natural
extensions that have been conjectured (and some which we conjecture). In
this talk, I will explain where these come from, why they might be true and
what is known. I will also present some recent results obtained by Arvind
Ayyer, Svante Linusson and myself in ongoing work. No background on anything
will be needed to appreciate this talk.
