Lazarsfeld-Mukai bundles

Lazarsfeld-Mukai bundles are vector bundles on complex
projective surfaces, obtained as kernels of the natural evaluation
maps, on surfaces. They are constructed using the well-known technique of elemen-
tary transformations. Lazarsfeld-Mukai bundles have applications in
Brill-Noether theory, the study of syzygies etc., and the (semi)stability
properties of these bundles is of considerable interest. In this talk,
we discuss these bundles and their slope semistability over Jacobian
surfaces when the rank is two.
