How many values do L-functions share?

Anup Dixit

For a complex number a, the a-values of a meromorphic function f is the set of complex numbers {z: f(z)=a}. A famous theorem of Nevanlinna states that if two meromorphic functions f and g share 5 distinct values, then f=g. In this talk, we will discuss the case when meromorphic functions are replaced by L-functions or their linear combinations, where much sharper results can be obtained.
