| Abstract | In this talk, we introduce some basic facts related to the algebraic subgroups of the multiplicative group ${G_m}^n$ over a number field $K$. We will then discuss Zhang's theorem on points of small height on subvarieties of ${G_m}^n$ and outline the idea of the proof. |
