Parton distribution functions via moments from Lattice QCD
Santanu Mondal
Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL)
In this talk, I will first introduce parton distribution functions (PDFs) and their phenomenological importance. Then I will describe the traditional method of calculating PDFs in Lattice QCD (LQCD) via moments and our recent calculations of isovector momentum fraction, helicity and transversity moments (arXiv:2005.13779) using this approach. I will outline other LQCD methods available to access PDFs from the first principle. Finally, I will outline my future plans in this direction and if possible in a couple of other directions.
