The Structure Constants of the Schur Algebra

We will introduce Schur algebras, which control the polynomial representation theory of general linear groups.

We will give a diagrammatic representation of Schur's standard basis for the Schur algebra as bipartite graphs. We will then give a diagrammatic description of the structure constants of the algebra in terms of these graphs.
