| Abstract | In this talk, I will discuss the existence of smooth atlases for algebraic stacks that lift all field-valued points. The main result is that such atlases always exist for quasi-separated algebraic stacks. Moreover, under stronger finiteness hypotheses, it is also possible to control the finiteness properties of the atlas. I will discuss this and its applications to the theory of motives on algebraic stacks. |
