Title: On Euclidean ideal classes in abelian
extesnions


In 1979, H. W. Lenstra showed that the ring of integers of a
number field with unit rank at least one has a Euclidean ideal
class if and only if the class group is cyclic provided the
extended Riemann hypothesis is true. In this talk,
we will present some details about the history of this problem,
state our unconditional results in this
context and outline the proofs
