This is the first of a series of weekly meetings on Combinatorics. The agenda for each meeting will be prepared a day before the talk, and will consist of one or two short presentations. The emphasis is on

1. Presenting work in progress, including that of students, with a view towards feedback and new ideas.

2. Exposition of fundamental methods of wide interest in the group.
