Planar algebras, quantum information theory and subfactors

We define generalised notions of biunitary elements in planar algebras and show that there is a one-one correspondence between certain objects arising in quantum information theory and some biunitary elements in the spin planar algebra . Also we show that there are natural subfactor planar algebras associated with these biunitary elements. Finally we will identify the planar algebras associated with Latin squares with the subgroup-group planar algebras.
