Selberg integrals involving Schur polynomials and combinatorial connections

In the second take on this topic, we will skip the history and focus on the combinatorial connections. In the first part of the talk we will (re)derive Selberg-type integrals involving products of Schur functions using a determinantal approach, and point out several combinatorial connections, most notably to hook length formulas. In the second part we will explain how further generalizations of the determinants lead to hypergeometric functions with Jack polynomial arguments on the one hand and number theoretic results on the other.
