Big Data and Data Lakes on the Cloud

Big Data technologies and Cloud services have
showed up about twelve years and been evolving together. Availability
of Cloud technologies have influenced Big Data products, their
architecture, applications and offering continuously. In this talk we
track the Cloud technology trends and how they have influenced the way
Big Data is practiced. Specifically we talk about the effects of
serverless computing, cloud storage, containerization, streaming
architectures and new programming languages on Big Data products and
services. Throughout the talk we bring in examples from applications
of Data Lakes for digital marketing.
