Analyticity Properties of Scattering Amplitude in Theories with Compactified Space Dimensions

Jnan Maharana

The analyticity properties of the scattering amplitude for a massive scalar field will be presentred in this talk where the spacetime geometry is 3+1 dimensional Minkowski space time a circle i.e. one spatial dimension is compact. Khuri showed in a potential model with one compact spatial coordinate that, under certain circumstances, the forward amplitude does not satisfy forward dispersion relatioons. In QFT if it were true there will be disaster since causality and and analyticity are related. I consider a QFT with one compactified spatial dimension. I adopt LSZ formalism to prove dispersion relations.
