Intelligent System Design for Knowledge Extraction

Shabia Khan

University of Kashmir

Due to the complexities in data, extracting knowledge out of it, intelligently, is one of the greatest challenges in the field of Artificial Intelligence. In order to deal with such complex and nonlinear systems, nature inspired computational techniques or algorithms can be used to develop artificial systems for analysis and prediction that can efficiently adapt to the continually changing environment. The concept has been broadened and improved by the field of softcomputing. In this talk, as the title suggests, I shall focus on such techniques and discuss the various reasons behind moving from statistics towards intelligent computing and how the appropriate parameters are being selected optimally that can result in less prediction error and better accuracy.
