Chiral condensate in the Hadron Resonance Gas model

The Hadron Resonance Gas (HRG) model successfully describes the low energy phase of the
QCD matter and various observables of the heavy-ion collision, where the representative degrees
of freedom are the hadrons and their higher mass resonances. We shall discuss the chiral
observables related to the 2+1 flavor QCD within a non-interacting HRG description, with
emphasis on the light quark mass-dependent quantities. The mass variation of hadrons has been
incorporated following inputs from Lattice QCD and Chiral Perturbation theory (ChiPT). In the
physical quark mass limit, we have calculated a pseudo-critical temperature 161.2(1.6) MeV
and the curvature coefficient 0.0203(7). This formalism has successfully improved our
previous understanding of chiral transition in a hadronic medium at the limit of vanishing light
quark mass.
