Abstract | I will discuss a realistic model to perform three different non-Gaussian operations, namely, photon subtraction, photon addition, and photon catalysis on a single-mode squeezed vacuum state. The generated non-Gaussian states are used as resource states in parity-detection-based Mach-Zehnder interferometer for the estimation of an unknown phase. To identify the optimal non-Gaussian operation, we examine the enhancement in phase sensitivity resulting from non-Gaussian operations, taking into account the associated success probability. Ref.
