Counting Out of Time Order

Out of time ordered correlators have increasingly shown up as good probes of physics in many physical
systems - from black holes to many body localised states. But, a systematic understanding of the space of
all out of time ordered correlators is still lacking. In this talk, I will describe our recent work
[ arxiv.org/abs/1701.02820 ] to construct
a framework of classifying how out of time order a given correlator is. This journey will also take us through
interesting mathematical alleys of counting peak permutations or how to systematically think about the
vector space of super-Jacobi identities.
