Holographic RG from ERG: Locality and General Coordinate Invariance in the Bulk

This talk describes some recent progress in an ongoing attempt to explain the AdS-CFT correspondence from the viewpoint of the renormalization group. Starting from the Exact RG equation of a boundary theory one can obtain a holographic bulk action in AdS space. The free action for various fields has been obtained in earlier works. The cubic interactions between scalars and the scalar-scalar-graviton interaction will be discussed in this talk. In particular the issue of locality of bulk interactions will be addressed. The locality of the graviton coupling is required for general coordinate invariance. A flipped version of the usual Wilson Exact RG, where the flow is to the UV, will be found to be useful in the context of AdS/CFT correspondence.
