Strategies For Addressing Antibiotic Resistance
Harinath Chakrapani

Antibiotic resistance is a complex socioeconomic problem that needs sustained efforts from several disciplines to effectively address. Some studies suggest that the current arsenal of antibiotics will soon become largely ineffective and the treatment of routine infections may become difficult. Our lab has developed several chemical biology tools to better understand resistance mechanisms. We anticipate that these studies will lay the foundation to developing therapeutic interventions.
