Thermodynamic aspects of black holes in LQG : some recent developments
Abhishek Majhi
IMSc
I shall present a brief discussion on some of the recent developments on the thermodynamic aspects of black holes in LQG. The discussion will be broadly focused on the idea of `quantum hair' of black holes and its relevant consequences on the entropy calculation and the Barbero-Immirzi parameter. Also, I shall discuss how a local observer framework is being used to do thermodynamic calculations based on the statistical mechanical framework provided by LQG, followed by a critical discussion on the pros and cons of this approach.
