Internet of Things (IoT) is at the foundation of many new, smart systems in diverse sectors such as transportation, energy, safety and utilities. Managing and operating such IoT-based systems cannot be done without automation, due to the scale, variety and the dynamic nature of the 'things" and the "environments". In this talk, we explore how some of these automation challenges can be addressed by AI (artificial intelligence) planning techniques.
