Velocity statistics of Granular gases

Granular gases are less dense systems of Granular particles.
Though well studied, one is yet to understand the nature of the velocity
distributions in these systems when driven. In this talk, I will discuss
some of our recent works in this direction and how these could be helpful
in understanding generic features in the velocity statistics of driven
granular gases.
