Pure Spinor Superstrings: Massless States

For the last two decades pure spinor formalism has emerged as a strong alternative candidate to the widely known RNS formalism of superstrings. Pure spinor formalism maintains manifest spacetime super-Poincare covariance at all stages and presents a much more pragmatic amplitude prescription at higher loops. In this talk, I will introduce and review the essentials of pure spinor formalism and its amplitude prescription. I will also review the construction of massless vertex operators in pure spinor and sketch the huge amount of success it has experienced in calculating scattering of massless string states.
