Resource theory of quantum coherence and its applications

Coherence is a very well-known feature of quantum systems. An information theoretic investigation of quantum coherence was proposed in [1] from a resource theoretic perspective. In this talk I will discuss about the two different forms of multipartite coherence and the complementarity nature between themselves. This results in a trade-off relation between these two types of coherence. The applications of quantum coherence will also be discussed.
