Complex networks of interacting components are seen across a broad range of spatio-temporal scales in biology, from the levels of molecules and cells to that of ecosystems. Two examples of such systems are the intra-cellular signaling network and the immune system. The aim of the PhD thesis, for which this is a synopsis presentation talk, is to obtain a clearer understanding of aspects of the dynamical evolution of such systems, using modeling and data-analysis techniques.
